The city of Davis is taking registration for its fall adult softball leagues.
Sign-ups are first-come, first-served, and will close Friday, Aug. 26, or earlier if the leagues fill. League play begins Tuesday, Sept. 6. Fees for the seven-game season are $397 for men?s teams, and $366 for women?s or coed teams. Each new team also must pay a $20 fee for American Softball Association registration.

Foxy?s Fall Century
Registration for the Foxy?s Fall Century bike ride ? scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15 ? is now open.
Cyclists can go to http://www.davisbikeclub.org to register for one of the three courses offered: a 100-mile endurance ride, a 60-mile workout and a fun-for-the-whole-family 30-mile ride to Winters and back. Snacks, lunch and a post-ride meal are included.
UCD softball camps
The Aggie softball program will host two clinics next week at La Rue Field.
UCD head coach Karen Yoder leads an experienced cast of camp counselors, which will include current and former Aggie players.
An outfield/infield development clinic will be held Aug. 21 and a pitchers/catchers clinic is scheduled for Aug. 28.

DLL fall baseball
Davis Little League is now accepting registration for fall baseball. Regular registration closes on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
Late registration opens Aug. 25 and runs through Sept. 15, but includes an additional fee of $30 for all divisions.
Fall baseball includes the following divisions: Juniors, Majors, AAA and AA.
Tryouts for team placement will be on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 29-30, from?6 to 9 p.m. For more information, visit http://davislittleleague.org.
Chamber golf tournament
Golfers are invited to save the date ? Friday, Sept. 16 ? for the annual Davis Chamber of Commerce golf tournament. The event will take place on a Friday this year instead of Monday, and the price has been reduced by $30, to $120 per player.
The tournament, to be played at Wildhorse Golf Course, features lunch followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Contests for putts, longest drive, closest to the pin and hole in one are planned. Dinner, awards, entertainment and a raffle follow the tournament.
